What Is An Ideal Height For Deer Fencing?

A deer fence must be between 6 and 10 feet in height. The height of this deer fencing depends on various factors like the length of the deer fence and the amount of deer pressure in the area where the fence is mounted.

In small areas in which Deer can walk (in the example, 25 ft by 25 ft garden) 6 feet tall is typically plenty tall. Deer are less likely to spring within a closed space. 6 ft is also tall enough to avoid Deer consuming arborvitae-like shrubs and trees.

We offer different lengths and types of deer fencing. The best thing about our products is that we keep in mind the latest techniques and keep innovating according to the latest trends.

7 1/2 feet tall for most areas, including backyards and perimeter fences 8 feet tall for large areas, areas with developed deer paths or areas where Deer are strongly attracted to clients raising Deer.

Note: you will need to make sure you use the correct strength deer fencing and the right style of deer fencing, along with the appropriate height of a deer fence. If you build a very noticeable deer fence-deer will be able to measure the fence’s height and then try to scale it. An excellent example of a poor deer fence is a top-rail chain link fence. This very obvious benchmark, similar to a pole vaulter attempting to hit a top bar in a leap, is a convenient target for Deer to try to run.

How Strong Is Our Deer Fencing?

Deer fence needs to have a breaking force of 450 pounds to 950 pounds or more depending on the demand. The strength of a deer fence is measured by taking a sample of fence material from one foot and pulling it on a weighted machine with clamps running along the top and bottom of the sample until it splits.

We do not boast about our services, but our goodwill and reviews by previous clients is enough to let you know the quality of our work. We work in a team that keeps on evolving according to the advances in the industry.

Deer fencing with a breakage force of 950 pounds or more will usually repel any size deer running at any pace. It usually occurs when deers crash into a fence by accident; it’s less likely, for example, that a deer runs into a small 25×25 garden than a 2000 linear foot perimeter fence. The larger the deer fence, the better it is meant to be.

Can Deer Crawl Under The Deer Fencing?

Without question, Deer can crawl under a fence! It is quite an unknown reality. Deer can pry up the bottom of an unsecured deer fence using their noses. They can also lie down under a fence, and slip. Specially made ground stakes are to tie a fence down to the ground. Typically these stakes are constructed from thick wire steel or rebar steel and shaped like a candy cane. Some have kinked shafts bent which makes it harder to remove the stakes once mounted.
