Take care of yourself without leaving the house? It is possible and so fun to do.
It also has the advantage of being much cheaper and taking less of our time (we save travel time, as an example).
In addition, it is essential to know some ways to relax easily. Recharging your batteries is not a luxury, but a necessity for your mental and physical health.
Here is a list of ideas for activities you can do at home to take care of yourself:
1) Self-massage your feet and/or hands
A practice that feels so good! Unfortunately, we very often neglect our hands and feet.
We immediately feel the relaxing effects by pampering them a bit.
There are several videos on the internet that can guide you through this self-massage.
2) Live a creative moment
Let your creativity go for a while. Whether drawing, painting, dancing or others. It frees up so much the spirit to find our heart of child and without having the pressure to perform (important to be able to relax).
For even more relaxation: try to do your activity only by candlelight. It creates a really comforting atmosphere.
3) Take the time to read a good book
The biggest problem is actually finding time to read more books but right now you have lots of time to read more books so start reading. you can start reading after taking a bath or after some physical exercise.
4) Do a spa day at home
Dedicate several hours to this moment of relaxation. Plan several activities to recreate a spa at home. For example, you could plan a candlelit bath, a mask and a pedicure.
5) Start meditation
6) Face massage
Another idea of self-massage that is so relaxing. Perfect to do before bed. Chances are it will help you fall asleep faster!
7) Exfoliation and hydration
Take the time to exfoliate your entire body and then moisturize it well. It feels soooo great!
Don’t have an exfoliant? Make a homemade exfoliant by mixing coffee grounds, white sugar and coconut oil. It’s also a great anti-waste recipe.
8) Home theater day
Transform your living room into an ultra-comfortable cinema: bring lots of pillows and big blankets.
Prepare your favourite snacks and drinks and make your movie schedule by registering your favourite movies.
A day of total relaxation.
9) Keep a journal
Write down your thoughts, anticipations, successes and pride every day. Perhaps also take the time to establish an intention per day. For example, it can be having fun during the day or being calm and focused.
Another excellent idea of what you can write in your journal: 3 gratitudes per day. This allows you to change your perception of what surrounds you. To be more grateful and recognize more easily the elements of happiness in your life. It’s a very simple exercise,
but really effective.
10) Dream meal
Take a moment to cook yourself a REAL good meal. A meal to please yourself and change your routine.
Then eat it by candlelight with your favourite beverage. You can even play music.
And you don’t have to be accompanied to fully enjoy this moment.
It could just be a romantic date with yourselves. Before loving another person, we should be able to love ourselves and spend time with ourselves.
Take advantage of these ideas to create several small moments of relaxation throughout your week. Once in a while is not enough! Don’t feel guilty about doing it.
