A laptop charger is the most useful and valuable component that is used to provide power to the battery. Without proper power or energy, your laptop will not run and can not perform in the correct way. But we hardly have any knowledge of how to take care of our laptop charger. 5. Make Sure the Charger is Plugged in the Correct USB Slot

Sometimes using an incorrect USB port for the laptop charger might generate a laptop issue. Usually, in today’s laptop, there are some USB-C slots available.   • Connect the charger to a wall outlet that is working properly.
  • Reconnect the charger to your laptop.
  • Verify the LED indicator on your laptop.


8. Check the Wattage of Your Laptop Charger

If you are using a lower wattage charger, you might get an error message on your laptop. Due to this, your laptop will not be able to detect the adapter or the performance of your laptop might hamper. Even the adapter will not charge the battery or the adapter might heat up. It is always important to use the right adapter for your laptop. Usually, you can check the wattage details of your adapter at the bottom of your charger. To know whether your laptop is detecting your adapter correctly, 

  • Reboot your laptop.
  • If you are using a dell laptop, then you have to press the F2 key after the dell logo appears. Keep processing the button until you see the message entering the setup.
  • In the BIOS options, you can check the AC adapter type.
  • If the type of the ac adapter shows none, then try to connect the charger to your laptop or if it shows an unknown error, then you have to identify the source of this issue and troubleshoot them.
