The weather remains chilly apart from summers. In the months of December to February, the trek might get closed due to heavy snowfall. 2. How To Reach The basecamp for this trek is Dharamshala. Or you can start this trek from Mcleodganj 2 km from Dharamshala. By air: Gaggal Airport is the nearest one. Just 13km from Dharamshala By Rail: Pathankot railhead is the nearest 85km from Dharamshala. By Road: Take a direct bus from Delhi to Mcleodganj or Dharamshala. Catch the overnight Volvo of HRTC or HPTDC. 3. Things to Carry : When you plan for a trek then keep in mind that you are well-prepared for the journey. Here are some important things that you can keep it in your bag. - Woolen clothes (according to season) - Trekking shoes - Trekking gear - Clothes (trek pants, trousers, t-shirts) - First aid kit - Socks - Water bottle - Eatables or snacks like chocolate, chikki, etc. - Backpack - Torch or flashlight - Sunscreen and sunglasses - Woolen Cap or hat - Moisturizers - Trek route or map - Camera - Powerbank - Lip balm - Jacket - Gloves 4.
