Who knew that bacteria could actually be a good thing? The business of beneficial bacteria is booming, and the word “probiotic” has gone from yogurt and kefir to kombucha and kimchi.

What are these? These are amazing, living microorganisms, also known as “good bacteria,” known as probiotics.

The right balance of good bacteria could improve the whole health of our bodies with a balanced intestine. Probiotics have been widely studied in humans and have been shown to provide health benefits for a specific probiotic strain when ingested in certain doses.

You can’t generalize when it comes to probiotics

Various probiotic strains are considered to have different advantages. Despite evidence from individual studies, the health benefits of 1 probiotic strain should not be extended to other strains. When reading these articles, note that 1 probiotic strain of 1 population can not be applied to other probiotic strains or population groups in this clinical trial. Some experts on probiotics recommend that probiotics from companies with research and data that support the use of this specific strain should be used.

Benefits of getting probiotics from food:

Depending on the strain of a drug and whether testing has shown a beneficial effect, the benefits of a food containing probiotic may be useful. Increasing the immune system and promoting a healthy balance of bacteria in the IM tract are two potential effects that would benefit most of us. Will probiosis of our foods have an added benefit?

Probios are an example of a win – win situation in dairy products. The dairy food helps protect the bacteria by supplying a buffer for estomac acids as they pass through the digestive tract, increasing the likelihood of probiotics surviving and getting them into the intestine. Also a source of key nutrients including calcium, protein and potassium are fermented dairy products such as yogurt.

Are Probiotics safe for everyone?

The good news isn’t that probiotics in healthy people have been dangerous. Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, Saccharomyces and S. Thermophilius are the probiospecies which are considered by experts to be safe for healthy people. In addition, probiotics can be dangerous for people suffering from acute illness, a weakened immune system, leaky bowels (including pancreatite), or end-stage cancer. It may be effective in this population to advise a patient before beginning a probiotic to the primary health care provider.

Prebiotics + Probiotics are more effective

Just as plants have to grow with sun and water, probiotics require prebiotics to survive in their gut. Prebiotics are unique fibers that are indigestible to humans and present in herbal products, or are the “healthy” promoters of bacteria. The “poor” bacteria but not the “evil” bacteria ferment these fibers.

While further research is needed, experts believe that prebiotics can also improve the safety of the intestines by growing Bifidobacteria, associated with inhibiting “poor” or pathogenic bacterial growth.

Where are the perfect prebiotics, therefore? Such compounds are composed of a wide range of herbal products. Inulin, found in garlic, onions, asparagus, leeks, chicory and in Jerusalem, is a prenatal drug.

Pick bananas (especially in prebiotically-resistant bananas), grains (including whole grains of rice, avenues and barley), soil based flax, chia, fresh boas and legumes, dark gardens (especially Dandelion greens). You can opt probiotic supplements.

Prebiotic tip: Do it slowly and always try to drink more water than usual while adding fiber and prebiotic foods to your daily diet–this can help to reduce any GI upset. Along with probiotics you can take whey protein for more strength, before buying whey you can opt whey protein price.
